13 Golfers are Within Five Strokes of First Place
at Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic
PENDLETON, Ore. (Aug. 22, 2026) —The second round of the 2026 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic concluded Saturday evening with Anne Chen and Cholcheva Wongras tied for the lead at 15 under par. Both Epson Tour professionals are in the thick of the tour’s Race for The Card season-long points competition, which awards LPGA Tour status to the top 15 players in the final standings. The two will be paired in the final group of Sunday’s final round at Wildhorse Golf Course, the championship golf course at Wildhorse Resort & Casino.
Shooting 8 under on the day, Anne Chen of Sugar Land, Texas, moved up the leaderboard from a tie for seventh place to a share of the lead after shooting 65 and 64 on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Nineteen-year-old Cholcheva Wongras moved up one spot, continuing the movement at the top of the leaderboard. The Thailand native does not have a bogey on her scorecard through the first two rounds of the tournament. It is her first season on the Epson Tour.
This season, Chen has recorded seven top-10 finishes, while Wongras has one tournament victory and one additional top-10 finish. Only three Epson Tour events remain before the Tour Championship, which will be held in Indian Wells, California, during the first weekend of October. Chen won the championship in 2025.
Sharing third place, yesterday’s leader Caitlin Peirce shot a 5-under 67, while American Samantha Wagner tallied eight birdies on her way to an 8-under 64.
Gabby Barker of Caldwell, Idaho, finished Saturday at 5 under par, above the tournament cut line, and will compete in the final round.
Kennewick, Washington, native Therese Warner did not make the cut after shooting even par in both Friday’s and Saturday’s rounds.
