Re: Employee Survey for Top Oregon Businesses
This year has been a challenge for all of us at Wildhorse, to say the least. Coordinating with the CTUIR Board of Trustees, the Incident Command Team and others, Wildhorse has worked diligently through the pandemic, heavy smoke, closures and furloughs. And, when many businesses are struggling or even closing, we are still here!
When the resort closed March 1st for sanitization procedures, employees received administrative pay for time off work. When the resort closed again for what was an undetermined amount of time, employees were guaranteed pay through the end of the month. Management worked hard to make sure employees were able to keep medical benefits so they would have the support they needed at home.
Then the smoke rolled in and Wildhorse closed one more time to clear the air within the building to keep workers safe and, again, staff were paid for missed shifts.
Wildhorse took care of those who mattered most – the employees.
At the beginning of the pandemic, management quickly established safety procedures to insure that, once the resort reopened, both staff and guests would be in good hands. Keeping everyone safe and healthy was the top priority. It was impressive how well teams came together to implement these changes.
In addition, Wildhorse brought Covid-19 testing onsite, allowing every employee the opportunity to be tested for free.
Bottom line, difficult times proved to us all that Wildhorse cares.
Even before the phenomenon that is 2020, Wildhorse had a strong reputation for having one of the best benefit packages anywhere in our area. Wildhorse also offers the highest starting pay for service workers in the region. With each expansion or acquisition, new job opportunities become available.
And let’s not forget, this year marks the 25th anniversary of Wildhorse! 25 years of supplying jobs to a rural economy and providing long-term careers to all those employees who have chosen to remain with Wildhorse for 15, 20, even 25 years!
This year, Wildhorse Resort & Casino is participating in a statewide competition organized by Oregon Business magazine to determine the top businesses to work for in the state. Wildhorse is entirely deserving of being on this list.
Here’s how it works.
Employees log into an online survey (paper copies can be requested) at http://oregonbusiness.com/2021Survey using survey code 458YD. It takes about 10 minutes, and can be completed from any Internet-connected computer or mobile device at work or home.
The deadline to complete the survey is November 20. In order for Wildhorse to qualify for consideration, at least 10% of Wildhorse employees must complete the survey.
The survey is entirely confidential and anonymous and your participation is optional. Results of the survey are available to Wildhorse only if we meet the participant level; this insures anonymity for participants. The survey allows Wildhorse management to understand strengths and weaknesses.
If you have any questions, you can contact Mary Liberty-Traughber at extension 1628.
We hope you’ll take a few minutes to participate and let the rest of Oregon know that Wildhorse Resort & Casino is one of the best places to work!
