PGA Head Golf Professional Mike Hegarty has over 15 years experience teaching all aspects of the golf game. With his competitive playing background he brings a full-circle of expertise to the lesson tee. PGA Assistant Professional Clint Ables, PGA Certified instructor, is approaching ten years in the golf business and puts a strong emphasis on his teaching. All teaching professionals use the prestigious JC Video Swing Analysis system.

Group Golf Lessons
Group golf lessons are designed for friends and family that wish to develop their game in a more relaxed setting. The extraordinary teaching staff at Wildhorse Golf Course instructs groups of 2-5 to ensure fun, excitement and knowledge for all players involved. Our already reasonable rate decreases (per player) with each player that joins the group, creating a great deal for everyone.
Video Golf Lessons
Wildhorse Golf Course uses state-of–the–art technology with its JC Video Teaching system. By nature, we are all more inclined to learn quicker and retain better if we are taught in a “visual classroom.” By utilizing the JC Video system we are able to show you in a frame-by-frame manner where your golf swing stands. As well as what you are doing right and wrong. We are able to put you side-by-side with tour professionals and show you where their swing is compared to yours and where the improvement needs to be. On top of all this, we are able to burn a CD for you to take home so that you are able to refresh your memory for months, if not years, to come.
Golf Clinics
Wildhorse Golf Course conducts clinics for all players; from the novice looking to get the basics down to the pro just looking to keep form. All clinics are led by one of our PGA Professional Golf instructors.

Sign up for our proven five-week sessions. Each clinic includes instruction with PGA Head Pro Mike Hegarty, cart refreshments, on-course challenges and prizes, free play, and a fabulous 19th Hole local wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres. The curriculum includes rules and etiquette, fundamentals, short and long game instruction, and competitive strategies for all levels of play.
Junior Clinics
Four-day sessions cover:
- Golf swing fundamentals (driver to wedges)
- Chipping
- Putting
- Sand shots
- Fun, friendly competitions
- Video swing analysis
- Etiquette
- Rules
All students receive:
- 12 hours of instruction by a PGA member and staff

Play Golf America
Wildhorse Resort & Casino has teamed up with the Professional Golfers Association of America in their Play Golf America program. The Play Golf America program is an effort to help grow the game of golf within America and worldwide. Wildhorse Golf Course is participating in month long promotions during our season to help grow the game in our area.
